PETS PLUS is an established professional pet sitting and dog walking company that provides service to approximately 200 clients. We are looking for one or two independent contractors (ICs) for part time work – any where from 5-35 hours per week.   Requirements:  Must meet qualifications listed below.  Training will be provided.   You will either meet with the client and owner, PETS PLUS, prior to starting this position OR will be trained by PETS PLUS owner with the client's knowledge and consent.  Need to sign a non-compete contract and agree to a criminal background check. 

JOB:          Daily Dog Walking

TIME:        11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. M-F sometimes weekends. 

This is a daily commitment; usually the job is Monday through Friday while client is working.   You would still be able to take time off as needed with two week notice and a 30-day notice if leaving the job.  You are required to visit the client's home each day to take their pet for a daily walk, play, potty break, give them fresh water, usually a snack/Kong and lots of love.   Each assignment is customized by the client and it may vary from above depending on the pet.  PETS PLUS Owner will provide dog walking training for all daily dog walkers.   You will have someone accompany you the first two to five visits before starting on your own with pet (depends on when you feel comfortable being on your own).   Daily notes must be written to client each day about the pet's activities and how much fun they had with you!    

JOB:     Pet Sitting, drop in visits in the clients' home

TIME:   *Between 7-9 a.m., 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.

*These are ranges of times you will need to be available.   When you meet with the client you will base your time on the pets' needs and their routine and scheduled times.  Some clients want one to three visits depending on the circumstances.   We do not recommend anything more than 24 hours in between visits for cats - dogs -- at LEAST -- once a day but not recommended.  

This job is a pet sitting visit in the clients' home as needed for dogs, cats and other pets while clients are out of town, working long hours, events, etc.  

You would need to meet with the client and Owner of PETS PLUS prior to starting any assignments.   This is an on-call basis.  You do not need to be available Sunday through Saturday all the time.  However, when an assignment does come up, you will need to be available for each pet sitting visit that is required during that time period.   There is a lot of pet sitting that comes up and 365 days out of the year I have some kind of pet sitting job that is requested.  You do not need to be available 365 days out of the year and that's the benefit of being a contractor, you can pick and choose the jobs that fit your schedule.    

JOB:          Overnight Sitters

Immediate openings available for this position.   This position is for someone who is willing to spend overnights in the client's home with their pets.  The hours are usually 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• LOVE FOR PETS
•  Patience and good life skills (common sense).
• Able to give medication to pets (through mouth, shots and IV's).
• Willing to work weekends, holidays and morning and evening hours – even in the rain!
•  Valid California Driver's License.
• Over 21 years of age (preferred).
• Reliable transportation - dog friendly vehicle with current auto insurance and registration.
• Cell phone.
• Daily internet/email access.  This is essential in receiving assignments and information regarding clients' pets. 
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Healthy and energetic with no back, neck, arm, leg, injuries. 
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to communicate with clients and the owner of PETS PLUS.
